I would do it in a heartbeat. The Sprite is a far more interesting thing than even the GMT Batman; its shape and form are interesting, and the bicolor bezel makes it even more interesting, including the GMT function. A black Submariner, with or without date, is so boring. And you will be in places with so many people wearing black Submariners compared to the Sprite. You will love the Sprite. I wear mine on my left hand, and I think it feels just awesome.

The biggest feature of Sprite is that the dial has two colors. Apart from that, I think Submariner seems to be more rugged and reliable than Sprite. If you want to wear a watch that can be used for a longer time, I think Submariner is more suitable.

No. The ND sub has the cleanest look in your collection. VTNR looks weird on the left wrist, and won't be discontinued (it has a specific purpose in the Rolex collection, and that is not to please collectors).

I'm going to go against the grain. I sold my sub (gasp!) after I got a Glashutte SeaQ Pano Date. It's just way more my vibe. I have a VTNR, and I love the green color and the destro orientation. I am not a lefty, but I never wind or set the watch while I'm wearing it, and I like not having the crown dig into my wrist. I wish more watches had a left sided crown, and it wasn't relegated to just being a "lefty" thing.

I am not a big fan of the lefty look on the right wrist. I would prefer the Sub as a right-handed person.

I'm with you here... I found the all black sub a bit boring after a few months.

In addition OP - if comfort is a consideration, the GMT to me feels much nicer on the wrist than the 41 sub.

The Sprite is certainly interesting and a great choice for a lefty, but not for me, especially with the premium you would be paying. Keep the Sub.

Trade the Sub for a SD4k (116600) whilst you still can find one! That’s what I would do! ;)
