Just noticed this thread. In light of the new interest in the dssd-blue I found the technical information and detailed measurements to be great. Any idea how these figures compare to a normal sub?

Early Sea-Dweller Deepsea production question

First of all, I know I'm reviving a thread after more than 10 years, but given the nature of my question I think this is the appropriate thread to ask, assuming some of the original posters are still semi-active on this forum.

I just got a new to me DSSD 116660, it is an M serial number with a clasp code of JP3, which leads me to believe that it is a very early 2008 production model. After reading this thread and the other mentioned, it is an MK1 dial.

My question, and it's just a matter of curiosity, does anyone know what serial number the Deepsea started with? I know the M started mid 2007 and went through mid 2008, and as I understand the first Deepsea models were introduced early in 2008. My digits after the M are 86 and end in 77, I'm super curious to know how early production my watch is.

It's not really a question of value, this is my first Rolex and truth be told, I probably overpaid, but I plan on keeping it for the rest of my life, which then it will pass to my kids and their kids... It's more of a curiosity because the condition of this watch is near perfect, I've looked at it with a magnifying glass and cannot find a significant sign of wear, not even a swirl. I know the watch was sent for service and proof of authenticity, but do they really do such a great job at cleaning it up so that it looks brand new?

Anyway, hope someone can give me some insight on my new to me future family heirloom.

I think it's impossible to answer, but we can go near: this is a Rolex pic (don't remember if it's from the technical data pages), and this is the serial number. So if it's not the first... is a close one
