Thank you for sharing your story! That is just so bad. Lucky you weren't hooked up with Gemma, (Sons of Anarchy) because you could be Dead right now...

I mean she could have really did a number on you. Glad your ok

Any word on if they caught her yet?

these are gangs that roam from New York City to South Florida to Las Vegas and so forth...always targeting men with expensive watches/jewelry at high end bars/restaurants. And the players change all the time. I remember a couple of years ago Fort Lauderdale was hit, multiple reports in the newspaper, and I am sure not everyone comes forward, understandably...sorry for the OP
Hopefully these posts and articles serve as a warning to others...

No word as of yet. I will let karma get back at her and the people involved with her.

Good news, the watch was turned in for service almost 10 years later and rolex contacted me that they have a claim from me and the new owner. The new owner is trying to get refund from his jeweler and I certainly want the watch returned to me. I only enjoyed it for a few months before it got stolen!

That's great that it finally turned up like this. Had the watch travelled far? Thank you for the update!

no it was bought in 2015 and stayed in tampa i presume by legit buyer that bought stolen watch. rolex has 2 claims and he has to tell rolex that I am the rightful owner but im sure now he wants compensation from rolex/jeweler since the wach has almost doubled in price in 2015.

In honesty, rolex should just return the watch to me and I shouldnt wait for the other party to entame and fulfiil their refund process.

I saw the date of the original post and was pretty stunned - very happy there's a good ending.

Wow, thanks for sharing this. Good that you got your watch back and yeah agree that Rolex should return it first (after all you have a police report etc to show that it belongs to you).

Truly weird story.

The phrase "was taken away from me" is pretty damn strange.

Also, the date, "02/25" hasn't even arrived yet, which makes the entire situation even more surreal.

The "Miami girl" who "drugged his drink" apparently for a Rolex... and who's never been found... makes it... umm... quite remarkable to say the least!

FYI I owned a High End Audio store in California, and we had a break-in. I paid my ex-parole agent brother-in-law to keep an eye out for a reward.

In California, pawn shops have to publicize things they buy for some period of time...I think I recall two weeks..before they can actually sell it.

I got my staff back. $40k worth of headphones for $4,000 which is what he paid the thief. The thief, by the way, used his real ID to pawn the stuff and ended up going to jail.
