Funny enough I like the aesthetic enough to appreciate 37mm a little more. Nothing beats walking into a store to try 48mm watches wearing a Kurono.

Might anyone be able to confirm from a past purchase that credit card payments on the Kurono Tokyo website have MCC (merchant category code) 5944 (jewelry/watches)?

This is really counter intuitive but my bank said my last payment to Kurono was MCC 5734 (computer software), which is important because this would be disqualified for certain luxury shopping card rewards.

A reminder that the new anniversary piece is being offered for purchase today, for those interested. I like the aesthetic and color blocks, but I’m still on the fence given that I already have excess pieces.

Kurono confirms they are MCC 5734 (computer software).

I'm in the same boat as having a few pieces including the Toki. But one thing is every time I see a new Kurono, I'm pleasantly surprised by the color. Ended up liking faces I didn't think I would based on the photos.

Yup, I couldn’t resist. I wore my other piece today to test my appreciation. No love lost.

Is there a discussion comparing the various Reiwa models and the Toki? Or the different chronograph variations?

Sold out in 3 minutes. Pretty impressive given the current slow market.
I managed to get an order in for the blue version (which I much prefer). Looking forward to delivery next month!

Anyone getting the New Chronograph P1 Shanghai Special Edition?

The panda dial and special edition is really tempting...

I don't see it as sufficiently different from the preceding chronos. I have the anniversary Hisui and thought I would like it more. Every Kurono is a special or limited edition with a story and will never be repeated...

Love it! I’m convincing myself that it’s different enough from my Chronograph 3 HISUI to justify having both.

Panda dial and the symmetry of swapping the date window for a 6 do it for me!

Same as well! In all honestly, I have not been wearing my Chronograph 3 HISUI much though I like to take it out and admire it from time to time

Somehow the wearability of the strap doesn't make me want to wear it often

Great looking watch, but I recently moved my Chronograph 1 MK.2 Salmon. Wasn't getting any wrist time. I unfortunately feel like this would be the same. I do like it though!

That’s a beautiful watch. I must have missed that release in the emails.

I’ve lurked and watched these but haven’t seen anything that’s made me want to part with my money yet.

Their latest watch "Anniversary Green: Mori" went on sale today to commemorate their 1 year anniversary I believe. It was scheduled to be a 50 piece limited edition.

The release had some hiccups and a lot of people were upset because their promise of a "5 minute" hold didn't actually work. So they decided to open up orders again and allow people to purchase it again. It ended up not being a 50 piece limited edition anymore, but they offered full refunds to those unhappy with the decision. I've been following a lot of these 'small batch' releases and there's always hiccups and unhappy customers, but I'm quite impressed by the way they handled the situation.

I'm not a big fan of green, but I'm likely going to pick up whatever they offer next.

The 'Mori' that just released:

Have had a couple of them and got rid of all. The misalliance between the dial and case quality and the simple, noisy movement was just unacceptable to me even in the mid-term run.

There were nice moments like this one with the photo I took, which was later on published on their IG, but then such moments weren’t able to stop me moving on from these watches.

Waiting for something more upmarket they might possibly offer in the future.

Personally I’ve bought my Kurono’s for the fantastic dials and I’m not concerned about the movements as long as they keep good time (and the case backs are closed). My latest Sensu Nos piece has a quiet movement that keeps good time to within 5 seconds a day, I’m really happy with it. The best Kurono so far imo.

True. The best without doubt.

Any real life pictures of the latest Shanghai edition chrono? Wonder how it looks and if the date makes the difference
