How good is Omega NATO?

I've heard from YouTubers that Omega NATO even though expensive is way way way better than any other NATO out there. For those who have bought NATO from Omega and other brands, how good are the Omega ones, really?
Anyone has experience with the leather NATOs?

Thank you
Ps. The reason is I'm thinking of using an Omega NATO on my patek so doing some research.

I have a few. They are very well made, both fabric and metal parts. Whether they are $200 good is totally up to you.

How are they compared to say Amazon ones? The problem is I don't have one so I can't compare and figure out why they are around 10x more expensive. Even if they are 3x more comfortable I'll pay for them.

The fabric is thick and sturdy. The metal parts are finished to the level of Omega watches. They are much better than cheap NATOs but again I have no way to measure if they are 10x better. The Omega natos are not comfortable. They are very hard and require a long time to break in. The metal parts are big and may be rubbing against your skin. I bought them for their good looks and durability, not for suppleness and comfortable wear.

Thank you. That was super helpful. So not as comfortable as I'd like, that's good to know.

It's a fabric strap. How much better can it be than a B&J or Bulang & Sons strap. Can guarantee you it's made in China anyway.

I mean common logic tells me that you are correct but the fact it was raved about by people (read/watched online) made me question my original premise.

My Omega NATOs have "Swiss made" mark on the metals. Not sure about the fabric.

I think the Omega NATO stand out above others in terms of quality and durability (first-hand experience). That said, the price is steep.

Too steep for me and I found Artem straps. They’re like 60 USD and noticeably better quality than your average Amazon delivery. Pretty happy with mine…

Yes, they are better. To figure in cost is a personal assessment. I have both.

My pet peeve is that the well made metal buckle and keeper cannot be reused when the nylon fabric is worn down. It's very wasteful to throw these nice metal parts away. I guess it must be more costly to produce those metal parts than making the fabric, which is partially why they are expensive.

It will be cute and environmentally friendly for Omega to open a little sewing shop in their boutique to help us sew the metal parts onto new fabric.

I have only one Omega Nato but I find it better than any other nato tried, subtle differences but for me enough to justify the price paid.

I’ve tried loads of natos but the only ones I’ve kept are the omega ones. They are very expensive, but last well and very comfortable when I want to use one (not that often)

Omega NATO straps are highly regarded for their durability and comfort. Made from quality nylon, they offer a secure fit and come in various colors for customization. They’re a stylish and functional choice for any watch.

Sounds very AI

Anyway, I've got an Omega NATO. It is well made and comfortable but the sliding keeper is a pain as it never stays in the "correct" position. For a more vintage look I like the A.F. 0210 straps which were the precursor to the G10 (NATO)

I’ve never owned an Omega NATO, but I own a lot of different NATOs and simply put them in a garment bag and throw them in the wash to soften them up when necessary. They are soft and supple afterwards. Have you tried this before?

No..I kinda like the new out of the bag feel they have and prefer to break them in on my wrist.

Expensive but nice. For me, it’s worth overpaying for to keep it all Omega. Really nice fabric straps. The best though? I like the Tudor ones more, but only on Tudors.

They are awesome! Never hurts to ask boutique when you purchase a watch for a free one since they rarely give discounts other than removal of tax.

I chop the under strap and the extra keeper off of all my NATO’s.
I then shorten the single strap with scissors to suit and melt the end with a gas lighter.

Looks much tidier and easier to swap over.

I wouldn’t pay the extra $$’s in Oz for an Omega NATO.

Au $300-$550?

Here are some waiting for the chop.
After wearing them to work I might wash them or bin them.

I have one, super soft. Super nice. Is it worth $200... Probably not. But it's one of the nicest NATO's you can get. If you are going to keep your watch on a NATO for a long time - get it.

They are the best NATO straps that I have seen.

Are they better in the same proportion as they are more expensive? Likely not.

Are they worth it? For me, yes, but it's a personal decision.

I think the Omega, and Tudor, NATO's are the best. Pricey, but noticeably better quality than the cheap ones, and I just can't see putting a $7k watch on a $20 strap. Sure, they'll both do the job, but so will a $30 Timex watch.

Great straps but expensive. I have one for my PO and SMP and wear them frequently. Lots of great options out there though.
