Best place to buy used Rolex?

Hi Everyone,

I’m looking to buy my first Rolex, I’ve currently got a Tudor Black Bay and I’m ready for something different.

Question is, where are the best places to buy used Rolex’s?

I see lots of them at approved used dealers, which is definitely an option due to me not having to worry about fakes, but I know there would be better deals elsewhere.

Not looking for anything super fancy, just like £5-6k, Datejust or something.

Call one of our trusted sellers here. I’ve dealt with Takuya, in the past. You can have what you want, within a few days.

Looks like the OP is in the UK so this probably wont be an option. It’s a shame there aren’t any trusted sellers outside of the US here (that I’m aware of)

The "best" place is surely an authorized dealer. You can take comfort in the authenticity, servicing, etc.
Cheapest place would be a different answer. If you choose a different route than AD, make sure you do your homework. Good luck to you.

In the UK, Watchfinder has always been good and reliable for me. Yes you pay a premium, but you also can buy and sell in confidence, which is more than worth the premium.

WF will haggle and are risk free but you will pay more. I've used Tempo and Time and the Swiss Watch Co. in Chiswick. Both highly recommended.

If starting from scratch I'd look at UK sellers on C24, find some candidates, research the hell out of those with physical locations and contact them directly.

If you are looking for a DJ it is def getting easier and quicker to get them at an AD. Depending on color wait might not be that long. I personally prefer buying from an AD. Just no question about what you're getting and most of all I guess I just want to be the original buyer of my watch. Good luck whatever way you go and welcome to the forum.

Of course, everyone would prefer AD purchase.
Date-justs are easy. GMT’S are hard.

I also think that if you work with some of the trusted sellers here, you can be confident that your deal is on the up and up. I just don’t think it’s wise to waste more than two years of your life waiting around for a watch.

Don’t the Trusted Sellers ship overseas? I do frequent overseas transactions, both buying and selling.

Yes some do.

But the import duties can be stiff in some overseas markets and risky for guaranteed delivery.
