Need you guys professional help 5513 meter first
Hi all, i am going to view this watch tomorrow. Want to gather your pro opinion to see if its legit. its a 1967 5513 with meter first dial and USA jubilee bracelet. My initial observation, the circle lumes was done badly around the edge, insert should be serviced one (i have a kissing4, so not a problem), i dont have knowledge about the USA bracelet, but the endlinks for sure not fitting properly. and case back engraving...numbers 5513 looks weird, almost like it was done twice over each other. Its my first 5513, pls enlighten me thanks!

Bring a UV lamp with you. And don't get hung up on things that don't matter, like the way the endlinks fit. The value is in the watch.

The brace;et is a correct 1960s USA Jubilee, to include the clasp being correct, but the end links are aftermarket which is probably why they do not fit very well.

Congrats! That is some super white tritium on the dial/hands, although perhaps the lighting is a factor. Did you see the dial under a UV light?

5 ticks footer meters/metres first (often quite off-white btw) looks ok to me on initial perusal, larger service crown and non-orig. service insert btw, C/B fine too - how does the dial lume up under UV please, or if you don't have one a 5 seconds under an LED light and straight up the jumper test !

How to tell if the insert is non-orig? I thought it was a service one only, although I never intended to use it. Sent from my SM-S9280 using Tapatalk |

I think by non-original he meant the service insert is not original to the watch. Not, non-authentic.
