Question re the 2403 movement (Railmaster)
I just purchased a 6 month old 36mm Railmaster from a TRF member. It has the 2403B movement. I've read about the 2500A, B and C movements, but what about the 2403A and B movements. Does the 2403B run at 28,800 or the 25,200 BPH? Thanks.

The early Railmasters that came out with the 2403A movement beat at the typical 28,800 BPH of it's base ETA 2892-A2. The 2403A was the same non-date movement as the Date version 2500A Co-Axial movements found in other Omegas such as the Planet Ocean..
This proved to be too high a frequency, and it is likely that Omega felt that the Co-Axial would not live up to it's "enhanced lifetime" claims. The beat in subsequent Co-Axials was reduced to the now familiar 25,200 BPH. The latest Omega Co-Axial movements, the 2500C, the 2403B, and the new 8500 all have the same 25,200 BPH tick...

Does anyone know if during a service the beat can be changed from 28,800 to 25,200BPH ?
