Water Pressure Question

My Seiko says 10bar, does that equivalent to 100m water resistant?
Thanks for the help, I was searching on google, and I totally forgot my fluid mechanics from school. Yes, I know I suck, haha.

Correct 1 atmosphere or 1 bar is = to 10 meters of water pressure.Now your Seiko is fine for swimming,snorkeling and very shallow underwater.

30 metres just splash proof

50 meters (1 meter is about 3.3 feet), which means the watch is suitable for swimming

100 meters; indicating it can be worn snorkeling;

200 meters, suitable for recreational scuba diving

1,000 meters and over (roughly three-fifths of a mile).professional diving

Thanks for the answer. Sorry that I accidently placed this thread here, I meant to put it in the open forum.

So my 10 bar watch is the same with the GMT and Explorer II, nice enough.

Not a problem this is the right forum,now with Rolex watches its a bit different.Although the GMT and Explorer 11 are not really regarded as proper diving watches.They are far more water resistant than your 100m rated Seiko,and could be used for occasional recreational scuba diving.
