The watch looks perfectly legit to me, John!! Nothing wrong with those markers....that's the way they come on the white dial YM.

Those pointy bits can be seen ONLY on the white dial YM. They are in fact luminous markers which glow in the dark. This is to compensate for the lack of luminosity in the black markers.

I agree with JJ here (wow... never thought I'd say that )

The newest Wish magazine in the australian has a full page ad with just that watch in it. Will post when I get home.

But, you're right John... it just looks wrong.

That watch is 100% correct. The markers on the white dialed TT YM are black, and there is a small triangle of lume (either SL or tritium depending on the age of the watch) just inside each marker.

My TT YM was a tritium dial, and here is a close shot of the marker and the lume triangle:

Yep, that's real. I saw a lume shot somewhere of those dots, it actually works quite well for what they are. I can't find the photo now.

Great shot, Amanda. It's good to put faces with the names. Looks like you guys were having a blast!

Here's one of yours truly freezing his....... parts.... off taking a break from a driving safety boat during a kids' sailing regatta last October. It was as cold as it looks.

Hey Amanda,

Now that's what I'm talking about. Due to the total absence of luminosity in the markers themselves, Rolex have provided those small triangular luminous markers to provide the glow. This is ONLY with the WHITE dial YM!!
