Journey to my 1st Rolex Sub-date 16610

Hello everyone, I've been reading this forums for a few weeks now. How I started was, I've always like watches but didn't know much about them and purchased my 1st nice watch 3months ago a Longine hydro chrono quartz, got home jumped on the net and did some research and oh boy what an eye opener. Since then I've swaped the Longine for the last One in store sword hands Seamaster (black), then the problems just got worse as the curse of 'ROLEX' had consumed me, all I think about is geting a ROLEX. So after deciding which and hunting around, am now impatently waiting for the Black Sub-Date to arrive........... and I appreciate all the infos leading to my decision fr all of you. And no doute this is just the beginning.............

Welcome, and congrats on finally getting a "Rolex"

I expect your anticipation must be bubbling over with exuberance

Make sure you show some photos when you get that watch

Welcome to TRF, Tek.......I'm pretty sure my recent thread on the 16610 has been instrumental in your decision!!

Good luck, buddy, and post pics when you get it.

Cheers - JJ

This was my first Rolex as well. Bought it a few months ago and it has been through some tough abuse without any problems at all. Wear it in good health.

did you keep the 2254 seamaster? at least, i'm assuming it's a 2254 based on your 'sword hands' comment...

if indeed you do still have it, don't let that one go... the discontinued 2254 seamaster is gorgeous, and no other watch looks like it.

enjoy the sub!
