The SCIENTIST'S WATCH---New Addition
My new ROLEX addition, having a code GV and advertised by ROLEX.. THE SCIENTIST'S WATCH. .. I got it after a lot of readings in TRF and Watch magazines.. and pushed by 2 nice TRF members that supported my decision indirectly and which I would like to thank a lot for there support.. [ Larry (Tools) and IAN (Shandy) ].. Yes It's the MILLGAUSS.
Well I won't post any of its specs as it is perfectly posted in the ROLEX REFERENCE LIBRARY by TOOLS in this link http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=33562 but I will rather post some personal opinions & pix hope you will like it! Got it one week ago from my AD.. inspite I have full trust in ROLEX,, the MILLGAUSS went to a usual test : POWER RESERVE is : 46Hrs.50min. ACCURACY is : +2 sec. average I am satisfied.. this sesults are expected and accepted ! PROS: This ROLEX feels robust and heavy weighted.. It has very nice proportions and perfect ergonomic design..The craftsmanship is just perfect, the case & bracelet are well finished.. It feels very comfortable in my wrist and well balanced.. The design is unique with this orange hand and markers giving it a sporty look yet very elegant though if you know the history of this ROLEX, old models looked like Sub's no date & DJ! Glowing in the dark looks stunning! The crown @ 7mm feels very comfortable to use and the movement feels very well geared.. the time is accurately set by the hacking mechanism! I think it matches here the DSSD in the crown size and the case thickness. The Green sapphire crystal is really unique and attractive..and the black dial looks a bit (slate) but has very nice contrast with the orange color.. CONS: The Millgauss is very attractive and people keeps looking at it and commenting .. is this a Rolex? .. We don't like orange .. What's that green glass is it genuine ? etc. ... My concern also is about the mirror like shining bezel and PCL's I am just afraid from scratches.. I think it needs nice treatment. + This ROLEX is a real pleasure in photo shooting! I used a CANON G9 to take these shots.. hope you will like it!.. More to come with the CANON DSLR & Macro lenses..

Great choice and nice photos. Now go take off those stickers, get a few scratches on it, and get them buffed out when it get serviced.

As a scientist, I agree. I passed on a Milgauss in the 1980's and it kills me. ARRRGH!
