Brand New Omega "Great White" GMT

I was just in a local shop and came across a brand new Great White Omega GMT 2538.20. I was so shocked to see it there. The sales person saw my enthusiasm and took advantage a bit. No matter how much I tried I couldn't get the price to where I wanted it, but I had to have it anyway.

The only problem is that I only saw them in pictures and now that I have it I feel that it's a bit small compared to what I'm used to; I also have a 45.5 mm PO.

Anyway, here are some iPhone pics.

Regards,

Peter

The "Great White" is still my favorite (I've owned four) of the Omega GMTs.

Congratulations!

Good catch - congratulations. Personally I think 41.5mm is just about perfect for someone with a large wrist.

Thanks guys for the great comments.

Fr. John, even though I don't post much, I've read about your all your GMTs and the reasons you didn't keep them. I hope I have better luck keeping this watch than you did yours. I'm starting to like it more and more as time goes on.

Even though I'm still not too used to the size, I will admit that it's very comfortable compared to my bigger watches.

I'm now thinking of buying the 2255.80 Electric Blue SMP for a more dressy look and to have a watch that easily fits under a shirt cuff. A local jeweler has a NOS in stock. If I get a good deal on it I may go for it. I hope the fact that I just purchased this watch there will go a long way, especially since I payed more than I should have for the GMT.

Anyway, here is another iPhone pic.

Regards,

Peter

Definitely go for the 2255.80, Peter. It will make a great companion for your Great White:

Fr. John, I made an offer on the NOS 2255.80 and it was accepted. I'll pick up the watch this Saturday. I can't wait. Soon I'll have the same pic to post.

Try not to convince me to buy any more watches, though.

Peter
