1. No, one direction only
2. Just rinse it with fresh water when you're done
3. Most say about every 5-7 years. Some say not until it breaks/ever.
4. I'm still a bit hazy on that. AFAIK, as long as it's a sub bezel, it'll work on another sub. But there may be some nuances there I don't understand.

For safety reasons it only turns ccw.

No, saltwater won't damage the watch. This watch was built for diving. However, I would recommend rinsing it off in fresh water after your dive.

Rolex recommends every 5 years, but most people don't service their watches this often.

I suppose this could be done, but not 100% sure.

The modern sub bezel turns only one way,so if it was accidentally moved while underwater the diver would always have less time underwater. Now after any period in salt water or pool water, all thats needed is a thorough rinse in fresh tap water. Now any watch used for diving its best to pressure test once a year. And if used for continual diving,or quite a lot of recreational diving should be serviced more frequently than the normal 5 years, but if you are like diving say on holiday then the normal sevice time will be fine.IMHO it would be a bad move to change your black bezel to a green one.

I might have been the only one who noticed this but Davor mentioned diving with his Submariner...

You can service it as little or as often as Rolex recommends, but have it pressure checked (water seals etc) at least once a year if you're actually thinking of diving with it, Davor.

1. Yes if it's a certain vintage-bi-directional friction. Begining with the 16800 uni-directional ratching.
2. Salt if left to dry can cake and cause the bezel to trun hard or lock up. (So can dirt and other junk-just wash it off)
3. 5 to 7 years according to Rolex. You can probably go longer, but if the watch is to be in water a lot not a bad idea to check the seals regularly.(pressure test)
4. yes
