The seller now says this watch (if it ever existed) is sold and cannot comply.

Sorry that's not good enough for me.

Just let this be a warning, any monkey business here in the buying/selling of watches and there are no second chances.

I thought this was odd to begin with... Sure didn't look like a "White Mother of Pearl Dial with Gold/Champagne colored Sub-Dials".... Good eye, Stevo!

Was that a fake watch? If so, why?

You pros know the fakes from the real ones and sometimes I can't keep up.
Some of the fakes look real to me, and you guys just say "That was fake" and really don't clue us dumb folks in as to what gave it away that it was fake

As Greg (Mosco) has said ( and as can be seen in the advert) the seller described the watch as having a white mother of pearl dial etc - the pix does not support this. The boss asked him to prove possession and this was not done. The excuse was 'the watch is now sold'.
This is not in accordance with the TRF rules so the rest is history.

There may or may not have been other issues.

I caught the same guy at the Breitling forums trying to sell a very rare solid gold Breitling, one with a solid gold bracelet, for $6995. Great price.

Then I remembered that my buddy in Edmonton bought that watch 2 years ago!

I googled it and found that he not only hjacked the photos, but he copied (verbatim) the description used by the original seller back in 2008!

There have been a rash of attempts like this made at that site lately, and on 2 occasions they used photos and descriptions hijacked from my listings at this site.

It is always wise to excersize excess caution when dealing with new members.
