Icon5 Anyone know anything about this watch?

I just picked this up, and have no clue what this thing is.

I did a quick Google search, and see that several companies made a model for the French military, but nothing about this one.

If anyone has a clue, I'd appreciate some help

Chronographe Raymond Dodane

marked movement "French"

It seems like a fairly nice movement.

Hey Paul, I'll work on it some more tomorrow. Until then I found what seems to be a history of the brand page. You wouldn't happen to speak French would you Time for google translate

Your uncle Larry lost this in a poker game along with his car.

I can find a few movements that are mentioned related to the brand

Breguette, and Valjoux

Check this out!

I could be onto something!

Notice the engraving on the case back.

Dodane was known for making fine aviator watches.

I'm just getting a little excited because there are plenty of little things pointing to Howard Hughes giving this as a gift or something like that.

Were getting hot!

The movement is from 1930, and this watch is close to mine......

Dear M Davidson

Thanks for your interest in my father product, we had no mere pieces for repairing a chronograph born in 1930.

Can you sent us a picture of the watches.

We will answer you after we had checked the picture.

Regards

L Dodane.

Mr. Dodane is going to give us a hand with this one!

I look forward to hearing back from him.
