This is a very helpful thread for someone who is considering Cartier. Thank you! Several mentioned jewels in the crown as being objectionable. Is there a technical reason or is the objection on grounds of aesthetics? I think the jewels look nice, but I know almost nothing about watches. (Hence I am studying here!)

People usually object to diamonds and other jewels in their watches because it can be seen as "blingy", "feminine", and nouveau riche.

There are no technical reasons, I just dislike jewels. If you like it, then by all means go for it!

I have same watch and Pasha power reserve.
never had a problem except the rock on the crown came off during ski trip , Cartier put a new rock under warranty ...this is one of exclusive brands that most people will never get to own because the company makes more than a watch.

Quality, history, and brand recognition are all part of Cartier ownership and these watch are sold at very nice price points when bought used.

for sure the, "Calibre de Cartier", is going to be my next watch.... especially since it has the in house movement.

although I could never pull the trigger on them before, don't get me wrong, they are all beauitfull watches, but for me they've always had that, "my wife and I got matching watches", feel to them. until I saw this model. It screams man's watch, but also has that classy look Cartier is known for. perfect combo.
