Hi:
New member here, finally get a chance to post and say "HI". I've been lurking for awhile now and have learned so much from everyone. Currently own a "P" series 16710 GMT-II "Pepsi" (which I just changed the bezel insert to all black thanks to a very informative post, really pretty easy) and just picked up yesterday a "T" series 18238 Day Date YG (Champagne stick dial) in near NOS condition. Both are fantastic watches but really like to see other posts and viewpoints and lots of photos of other models.
Happy Holidays to All!

Hi
My favorite insert is the coke (black/red) you should try that sometime. The P series GMT is a great watch, it will go the distance.
As for the DD 18238 that too is a solid watch using the cal. 3155 movement which is still used in the current DD model produced today.
All in all 2 excellent watches

Hi:
Thanks, I just switched the bezel insert on my 16710 to all black from the blue/red for a change plus there was some fading on the red side of the original. Just went through it's first service and polishing, really pretty minor. The 18238 is very nice shape (YG, stock, champagne stick dial), runs perfect, and some minor hand polishing brought it back to almost NOS condition. Have it on a black leather strap as the band is a couple of links short but they'll come in time. I was experimenting with the camera last night so will post some photos soon.
Merry Christmas to aLL,

Welcome to TRF from a fellow western Michigander from the Holland area. Hello RedwinGV as well. Who knows, if we keep this up us three can have a Grand Rapids Get-to-gether (GTG).

Welcome from a Detroit area Michigander.

TRF is a great place to learn and have fun.

PS: Great GMT - I too have a P series GMT II and own all three bezel inserts. It is an awesome watch!

I am. Also a fan of a University in Mi.
Someone must already have Redwing as it stated it was taken. I haven't looked for who though.

Uh, maybe not THAT one? They do have Blue colors though- on the West side of the state.

Oh, and for this, GV doesn't stand for the Milgauss.

Whoops... looks like I read too quickly. I saw University of Michigan and you wrote University in Michigan.
