Case material in 80's
904L to be used to build the case nowaday of Rolex, but is there anybody knows about what kind of stainless steel Rolex to manufacture the oyster case in the middle of 80's, Thanks!

Rolex used 304 stainless in early models, but, as said, had changed to 316 up until the late 80's when 904 was introduced with the 168000 Sub.
