2011 changes

Has any one heard of them making the Daytona or yacht master a lil bigger in 2011 0r 12? I like what they did with yacht master 2 but its out of my price range

Rolex won't show any of their new models or changes until the Basel Watch Show at the end of March.

Nothing until then, but the Yachtmaster should see a face lift IMO

I only wish they would come out with a 'true' 40mm daytona dial and wider lugs.

There's usually someone posting to at least one of the watch fora direct from Basel. My boss will be heading over at some point (not on the first day, though), so I'll pass on his thoughts regarding any new models, and any interesting news he can find out from his chats with various manufacturers

I first thought the Daytona dials were a little smaller, but after getting used to it, it seems perfect!
Interesting to see 1~2mm increase in size though.

After March there will be a further price increase guaranteed - explorer will go up and thus to maintain the gap between the sports ranges the others will go up also. Basel will be quite big for Rolex this year i feel.

Just a daft question out of interest: Why is the watch fair in Basel and not in Geneva?

Because it's the Basel Watch and Jewelry Show and has been there since 1917.
