Does it make sense????
The last week the RSC watchmaker told me that my watch passed the pressure test with 80% which seems good to him.but actually i didnt understand what does it mean.(the probability of having the water inside is 20%) or what.any way i left because he doesnt seem a proffessional to me. So my question is that the true criteria of pressure test or by telling me if its 50 m or 20 m, etc., etc.. water resistant???

I would assume that he meant it passed the test to 80% of its rated depth. For example, a Submariner passed at 800 feet (instead of 1000).

Jeez, I never heard of that before. Everytime I go to the watch maker my watches either "Pass" or they don't. I never heard of the % but then again I"m not an expert.

Did your watchmaker say you can swim with it?

how is the test carried out? I would think it would be either a pass or fail.
