Hi everyone, From London and just become a new Rolex owner
Hi,
I thought i would say hi, i have just purchased my first rolex , Its a GMT II and its pretty nice. I have always loved watches, its a passion which has been passed down from my grandfather to my father and now to me and my brother, and we all have a great passion and appreciation for quality time pieces, i have been trading in fine jewellery for about 3 years since i began university, as means to pay for my out of control university drinking, and i have gained a huge appreciation for finely crafted jewellery in general, in the past i have sold watches including: Breitling, Raymond Weil, Tag Heuer, a ton of Seiko's(not all of them were that bad either, some very nice ones) an Omega 1915 petrograd museum (My favourite!!) Franck Muller, Panerai and most recently an IWC Schaffhausen Spitfire Double Chrono, Unfortunately i have been unable to keep many of these great watches for myself as i have paid for one with the sale of another, last year i bought myself an Omega Broad Arrow for my 20th Birthday, and was blown away, it was simply fantastic, it did everything i could of asked for and then more, beautifully crafted and excellent at keeping time (lost about 1 second per day) i only hope the GMT is upto the challenge, the BA is an amazing watch, i hope that the GMT is just as good. I will post pictures of Both my watches tomorrow. please message me if you would like any pictures of watches i have sold or one which i intend to sell, Im very happy to now be apart of the elitist Rolex Club. Hey al,
Yeah im going to crack some photo's on tonight i hope, i need to give the Omega BA a spit and polish because that Hesalite watch glass picks up a fair few hair scratches, i will bust out the Mr Sheen and get it sparkling. been wearing the GMT for just over 40 hours now, im ashamed to say that i catch myself looking at it perched atop my wrist resting on the gear stick instead of looking at the blacktop infront of me when driving! damn fine timepiece, the only thing i can think that it could do better on is the clasp it feels a bit...not flimsy but just not robust enough, but thats no biggy its a lovely clasp by any measure its juts not as nice as the BA clasp, the GMT clasp does sit nicer though and it stays centered better i feel. Anyway im going off-tack, i will put pics up A.S.A.P ! Keep Cool J-T-J |

Yeah, I suffer from that as well. One of the reasons I don't wear mine to bed, if you catch my drift...
