Oh brother...now I want a JLC Ultra Thin 38!
Saw one at a dealer yesterday. I'm smitten! This watch knows just what it wants to be, and it hits all the marks dead on. Love it!
Thanks to this great page for the lovely stolen photos... http://jlc.watchprosite.com/?show=fo...&ti=423821&s=0 Okay enablers, please tell me why I don't need it! Ha! :) |

JLC's are definitely nice, and that one is definitely a great watch.

I like it ! Most of my watches are typical thickness of Rolex and Omega. But I have a vintage Seiko that is very thin. On the rare occasion that I wear it, it is so light that you forget that it is on the wrist. That one is a quartz and it is hard to believe that there is room for a battery. But the JLC is very impressive fitting an automatic in that case.

It's mechanical, but not automatic. Yeah...it's super-light. It comes in at a whopping 42 grams.
It's just so simple and clean. It being the case that the purpose of mechanical watches now is dubious to put it mildly, I think the technical aspect of this watch's thin-ness and the classic old-school design, so perfectly executed, really justifies it in a unique way. The sapphire case-back on this is just a clincher for me. Totally irresistible. |

It's definitely one of the more sublime watches I've had on my wrist. The hands seem to float above the dial, the watch is a great size, it has a beautiful movement, and the value is ridiculous. I hope you get it.
