I was same like you when I first got the iic. But over time I got used to it and now it does not bother me. I am talking the sharp edges.

I found the GMT II C to be uncomfortable. By far the most comfortable Rolex I have worn is the Explorer II.

Thanks for all the responses. And yes, I believe I tried every combination of 11 or 12 links (at 6 vs 12 o'clock etc) - and 11 is my sweet spot for all other rolexes. And with easylink deployed, not deployed, moving pin position on clasp etc. My 7 1/4 wrist is oval with top and underside being relatively flat (vs more round). It's the case and tang lower sharp edges that dig in regularly that I noticed (worn a little more loose or a tad tighter - didn't matter much). In looking at the new case design it seems rolex deliberately swept the outer edge downward (actually concave near the edge) and the same for the tang points. That in combination with the pretty sharp case edge and tang points made it ergonomically unfreindly to my wrist (.. if they had only made those areas horizontal... oh well). I really wanted to love this watch as a daily wearer. So I'm trying a 16710. Thanks again.

the only problem i have is when adjusting the watch on my wrist.
the damn sharp corners make it more difficult so i have to old the watch on the 12 and 6 oclock part. which puts fingerprints on my beloved pcls. rolex should give me 10$ for everytime i have to wipe down my pcls. |

GMT-IIc's comfy, at least for me. The only grip I have is that the end of the lugs are pretty sharp. Kind of annoying sometimes, depending on how I angle my wrist...

Granted I only tried it several times at my AD... but I always thought the GMTIIC was a comfortable watch. I guess it differs for different folks.
