Buy a per-owned unworn Sub c for old price or New Sub c on New price ???

I am tempting to get a Pre own unworn sub c or paying a full price on the new one from the AD. I have been everywhere to find one before the price rise start in a few days, without luck and I have been thru some ignorant AD sales which look donw on my status as i quote for interest free credit. \\\\\also GMT II seems an alternative choice?///// I cant decide on this one also doesnt like the strap of the GMTII.

One of the AD rang me said one of his client just drop their order for Sub c but it will not available for me till thursday and i ask them if the price will be the same or up ? they would just wait till the price increased n release the stock so they can make a hell lot more commisions.

Firstly welcome to Trf. Have a look around and check the for sale section also. May be something there.

i think any saving is a good saving.
as long as the pre-owned unworn Sub C is 100% genuine, then i think it should be okay. i know a few people has done that and no problems.

is there going to be a decent difference in prices?

I would rather buy a pre-owned unworn and save some money, the only difference between buying a pre-owned unworn and from the AD is the name on the warranty card will be someone else instead of yours, but warranty itself is still good if you need to send it to RSC within the first two years.

I bought my GMTIIc pre-owned unworn (all stickers still intact, never sized) for 2k less than MSRP in 2008.

Sometimes there is not even a name on the warranty card , just a date.

If you in the UK , try Watches of Distinction or watchfinder websites. I was happy with their services

The watch is 4970 rrp and I have comfirmed with around 4 diff ADs about new pricing, it will goes up to 7-9% I reckon that is about 400+ more, for saving that money is a real turn on and I wouldnt mind the pre own unworn is on someone else's name. the watch was purchased on 17 may 2011 so it is really attractive deal.

If saving a couple of bucks is what floats yer boat, then go for it...

Some like the experience of brand-spanking-new with everything in your own name.. It's like the smell/feel of fresh leather in a new car...

Depending on the amount you are saving, which I assume is substantial with the new price increases for a new Sub, I would go with the pre-owned unworn. To each their own, but only you would know the difference.

I encountered almost the same dilemma few months ago between a brand new 16613 with a 2009 price and a brand new 116613 with the increased Feb 2011 price.

Guess what.
I'm a happy 16613 owner !!!

Your money, your choice! If it doesn't matter than go pre-loved (In your case pre held). If you want to play it safe for the two year warranty(not worth it now that I've owned mine for 4 years with 0 problems) than buy new from AD. I bought mine through AD, from now on, I'd buy through TRF. My $.02
