The coil is not available as a seperate component, it will be a complete new motor.
Should not be a problem, parts are readily available for the oyster quartz.
Remember Rolex guarantees parts availability for 30 years after a calibre's production run ends.

There must be a Rolex service centre in Oz.....better to send it there and get a service and any parts replaced then and there, more expensive sure but at least you have not the hassle of sourcing parts (which can be nigh on impossible outside of the network).

There is a Rolex service centre in Oz. Your best bet is to send it to them.

Different affilliates have different policies on supply of parts. This is due in part to the law in the different countries on business practices. In some countries only watchmakers who have been assessed by Rolex and deemed qualified to work on Rolex and who have suitable workshop/equipment will be eligible to buy parts. If you don't pass and or don't have all of the necessary equipment (not just normal watchmakers tools but pressure testing/case equipment etc...) then no parts.
