1992 Rolex prefixes
Anyone here know whether Rolex made any changes through 1992? Depending on which reference you use,. X, N and C prefixes all seem to be in a very narrow time span.

X 1991 N 1991 (Nov) C 1992 S 1993 IMHO, it is just a reflection of price increases.

Bo, depending on which reference you use those prefixes all show up around 1992. Was just wondering why Rolex did so many prefix changes in such a short time.

I don't know, but did gold price go crazy at that time?
Maybe Rolex had to adjust prices accordingly and the serial #, too, to reflect it.
