on second thought, one would not have to rotate or do anything to the date disc or aperture, so you CAN rotate the dial without any consideration for date...wow..that probably is a rotated PloProf...very cool

Quite weird !!!
Not sure the lock key for bezel is easy to use in this position, but then it looks quite unusual and special. |

Those are the most original hands I've seen on an Omega so far, I like it! Congratulations and wear it in good health!

You can rotate the dial with this movement, but not the date. You need a special datedisc for this version. Not that many made, looks original because of the silver datedisc. Some mod their ploprof to left wrists, to earn more money, but they usually have a newer white datedisc. |

I do wear the watch on my right wrist.
Actually I had a chance to choose between LEFT and Right models and this one fits me better.

The PloProf was only ever issued to be worn on the left wrist with the crown on the left.
The date disc is specifically made for this application. If the watch has been changed to have the crown on the right, the date disc from any normal watch with cal 1002 is used, it is the crown on left date disc that is unique to this model. If you like it like that, its all that matters, but I just wanted to make it clear that there was NO right handed version made with crown at 3pm From Omegas own information- As this model's dial can be shifted by 180 degrees, sometimes these pieces can be wound up incorrectly during repairs by a careless repairer or who mistakenly thinks that it is done correctly by positioning the crown at three o'clock.
