Strange selling practice, what do you think?

Posted a WTB note on this site several days ago and today got a reply from someone on this forum offering me a 16753 GMT in mint condition. The pictures were a bit artificial (definitely not self-made and reminiscent of something) and the model was not with the dial I am after anyway. After I answered that this is not what I am looking for, I was instantly offered the exact model with the same strange pictures that definitely reminded me of some other watch site. Spent 2 minutes and, bingo, it turned out that the person is offering me watches from another watch selling site with a nice surcharge of $1000 (in the latest example). Well, I understand that people do business in various ways, and hypothetically this is a typical mediation, but the person claims to "have the watch for sale". Hence/ I would like to ask fellow forum members: do you guys think this is ok, or do you think that this is an improper practice?

Like anything you want to buy you must be very diligent on the seller and check him/her out before parting with any cash.

That sort of practise is not tolerated here.

The key thing is to establish the truth of the matter.

You are welcome to forward these solicitations to me.

Having reviewed the PM and investigated Jawaa's ACTUAL location and ACTUAL relation (not) to the chrono24 seller.

Jawaa's banned from this place.

Good on the OP for catching this one and everyone else stay vigilant.

That's not on at all - well done on the Op for being vigilant, and on the action taken as a consequence
