next Rolex ( EXP II 42mm vs DJ 41mm vs Milgauss)

Hi guys. I'd like to have your help to chose my new Rolex. I got already a Daytona white dial, V serial. The next watch should be black,blue,etc.. but no white ; )

I have some options but you guys can give me new ones.

-Datejust II ,41mm, 18k WG bezel ( black or blue, roman or normal dial)

- Exp II, 42mm black dial

- Milgauss black dial ( I have 2 friends who got the green one so It wouldn't be my choice).

Do you guys know why the DJ roman dial is more expensive than arabic and normal ones?

I really don't know if I would buy the Milgauss because it has no date as my Daytona. Im also not sure about the black dial on Exp II because I like more white dial in sport watches but I can consider that.

Anyway, let me know your opnions about them and also if you guys have another options. Please, I wouldn't buy a Submariner because I had one for 5 years but I was stolen.

Thank you guys so much!
Ricardo

DJII blue dial.
I think that's quite a handsome and unique piece.

Milgauss, the black is nice (but the GV is nicer)

My choice would be the Exp II (42) black dial, as it would be a good contrast to your Daytona

Perhaps the DJII (with arabics - just my preference) if you need something dressier

The black dial Mil is nice (I prefer it to the GV in fact) but lack of date seems to rule it out here

Good luck

I would (and did) choose this one. Bought it two days ago and absolutely love it. Easy to dress up or down. Also very comfortable...

Man that's a tough one! I'm biased on subc LV, but out of those, DJ II blue stick dial.

Thanks dddrees! Your watch is also soo stunning! However I'd like to buy a steel one to wear daily. Here in Brazil its quite dangerous to wear I steel/gold one. They stolen my Submariner steel. Imagine a steel/gold one? ; )
I bought my Daytona like 1 1/2 year ago and it has all stickers on because I wore only 3 or 4 times ; (

I narrowed it down between this dial and the blue sticks. Because my 16613 has a blue dial, I decided that the slate gray was the best choice. I also love the bold romans and the unique color of the dial. Good luck in your decision!

Thanks SaddleSC! If you hadn't your 16613 in blue dial color , what would be your choice for the DJ II ( slate gray roman, blue roman, blue sticks or black sticks)? Have you seen the DJ II 41MM in blue roman? Not sure if blue is better with sticks because its not as classy as slate gray roman. Isn't it?
Remember I got already a white dial Daytona.

Ricardo

I vote for the Exp42 with a black dial. It's really a stunning watch in person.

I really like SaddleSC's DJII - those are some excellent pictures of it above. However, I also really like the black faced ExpII in person, which was a big surprise for me as I wasn't really expecting this watch to do much for me just from images. I'd want to see both IRL, and then figure out the different circumstances you'd use the watch for, and decide then.

If I didn't already own the 16613 it would be a really tough choice between the Slate Roman and the Blue Sticks. I was so mesmerized by the Slate Roman in person I probably still would have ended up with that one.

Between the two Blue dials on the DJII, I prefer the sticks hands down to the roman. The roman indices on the blue dial are much smaller than on the slate and I prefer the bolder look of the blue sticks. You can't go wrong with either! Good luck to you.

Thank you all! I gave up from Milgauss. Now the decision is between Exp II 42mm black dial vs DJ II 41mm (sticks or roman, black or blue dial).
Im gonna wear it daily, in all occasions ( parties, restaurants, shopping, etc).

Regards
Ricardo

Given your choices I like the DJ2 with blue stick dial.

Otherwise I would have said White Exp2 or GV Milgauss.
All beauties!

Thanks travisb! I do prefer white dial for Exp II but I have already a Daytona we dial. Thats the point. Not sure if the black dial would be as beautiful as the white one.

Do you guys know if the roman dials aree more expensive than the stick ones in DJ II?

I'd go for the ExpII because you already have a PCL'S watch. That way it's totally different.
