X2. It's really a beauty. I think the text on the bezel is a little too much, however. But as often is the case with me, photos don't do a watch justice. Once you try one on in person, you fall in love.

Thanks for sharing, Chris.

Don't get me wrong John your Patek is nice, however I do miss the WRUW threads where you used to post your YG YMII.

I love that watch but I feel 26K is a bit much for TT Rolex.

What?! John sold his YG YMII?! Oh that was such a GORGEOUS piece. It made the WRUW threads fun. Such a shame.

Hey John... get the WG one. You know you want it. Yes you do. Really, you do.

At least one person shares my feelings ... Nobody else thinks the bezel wording (badging?) is a bit over the top on an otherwise beautiful watch?

In pictures, I'd agree but it's like the rehaut writing on the DSSD. In person, it's not as prominent for me. The effect as a whole is nice.

Thoughts?

Actually, useless in yacht racing. A digital timer is much more useful because at a glance you get minutes, seconds, and tenths of seconds to the starting gun. Essential to a winning start.

When this one was announced I was very excited, but after having seen it in the flesh, I think I would still choose the YG version. I recently had the chance to try on the WG and YG versions side by side and the YG is really an amazing watch. It is totally "in your face" but in a really great way.

Also true of Daytona (lap timers) and Subs (dive comps). These may be useful as analog backups but most pros carry digital backups.

Such a nice watch but i still think that the YG two tone would have been slightly better (IMO)

It's a bit "colorful" for my personal style, and it seems like a lot of money for a countdown function? However, I can appreciate the aesthetics of the time piece even if it doesn't fit my fashion sensibility or (fantasy) lifestyle (e.g. I don't sail or own a yacht).

My thoughts as well, Mike. The pictures I've taken are blowing the watch up by two or three times, so it does seem a lot more shouty. It's less so on the wrist
