2007 Daytona TT Upgrades?
Hello All
I am a newbie here and I hope I'm not opening a thread on a topic already in existance. Sorry in advance if I have!! I am picking up my new TT Daytona white face this morning from the AD. I have noticed reference in various sale listings on the web to the new upgrades made on the 2007 Daytona. Can anyone list the changes for me and explain the difference to the previous year? Cheers ![]() Ozzy |

Welcome to TRF!
![]() As far as I know nothing has changed, really, on the Daytona (including the TT) since last year. The only change that comes to mind would be that the latest Daytonas have "ROLEXROLEX" (+ serial number at 6 o'clock) on the chapter ring (= edge along the dial). Otherwise, the BIG changes came in year 2000, when Rolex introduced the new Daytona with the in-house movement Cal. 4130. The predecessor was the "Zenith" Daytona Cal. 4030. The changes in 2000 were:
The power reserve for the in-house Daytona cal. 4130 is 72 hours (!!) when the chronograph is NOT running, and 66 hours when the chronograph is continously running. The predecessor, the "Zenith" ca. 4030 had a power reserve of 54 hours and 47 hours with the chronograph continously running. Btw: in comparison to the "Zenith" ca. 4030, the new in-house Daytona cal. 4130 movement winds up 68 % FASTER! ![]()

Plus the new ones have the card style warrenty info, instead of the paperwork style. Also, isnt the holigram gone with a clear sticker on the case-back?
I got a SS Daytona back in June, and while it is a Z and has the inner ring numbers, it has old paperwork and a holigram. Good luck with your purchase! clk199 |

Don't forget the "rolexrolexrolex" and serial number on the chapter ring.

Thanks for your welcome all.
I picked up my watch on Saturday and it's great. ![]() It ia a TT, white face, Z series #72xxxx. It has all the latest upgrades (inscription on chapter ring etc). It also has the "credit card" style of validation not the paperwork. I am glad I read the thread about the sticky boxes. I made sure I replaced all the cover paper back around the box for storage. It really is a shame they stopped making the wooden boxes! Cheers ![]() |
