Wow. Prices went up without going up...

I went into my AD two months ago and was offered a GMTc for $6900 OTD.

Went back into the same ad this past weekend, and told its now $7400..

I'm kinda kicking myself now..

i know it was because of the dealer margins were tightened up a bit.. but i'm just venting..

Probably because their profit margin was narrowed.

Just pick one up on the forums. You can even find a deal better than $6900.

What's MSRP on that watch sounds like you are getting "some" discount.

If you are in Orange County, look up ocrolexguy, he'll hook you up

Vent away, just don't wait any longer (or buy from one of TRF's trusted sellers)

Dealer cost from Rolex was(or is going to be) increased but supposedly MSRP is staying the same - IMO just going to make it harder to obtain discounts from the AD when Rolex has cut into their profit margin even further...

believe me, we are not the only one's venting.

Even my AD is getting angry that Rolex is charging over 8K for S.S. watches. Of course, he can't keep them in stock, but still, as I could tell he is an avid WIS, it was kind of humbling for both of us to have the conversation of how we obtained our previous Rolex watches in the late 90's early 2000's for considerably less.

But, the times, they are a changin'....

It's just Rolex's strategy of curbing discounting. There will be significantly fewer Rolex ADs left if they continue with these changes.

That's the goal. Boutiques with a few large AD's are the future I am afraid.

8 plus for the SS

If you are in Orange County, look up ocrolexguy, he'll hook you up
But everything is expensive here in SOCAL. Gas is almost $5 on premium...

Hmmmm..... I get the whole your name on the card thing but IMHO the difference between a used one and a new one is really just the 2 year warranty. If you compute the discount that you will get buying Used VS NEW... the savings on the no interest credit card is really marginal I think...but then again there is the "name on the card" issue...
