It depends on which model we are talking about. On a SS Submariner, I prefer brushed. On the Datejust II, I prefer polished. Each model has its own unique character.

brushy polished...
shiny brushed... contrarian bracelet retrospective... On a sports watch the best is brushed so you could easily touch it up with a pad. On a dress watch the polished center links set it apart from others. In extreme situations, rock climbing, deep scuba, heavy construction - Neither - Go NATO my friends.

BTW... To those who do not like PLCs and who strongly prefer the bushed center links of the SS sub over the PCLs of the SS GMT-II.....Do you also not like the PCLs of the WG blue sub?....just curious
