That is an unrealistic new price to me. I have a 116718 "G" I got from a trusted seller on TRF BNIB last year and it was sold to me at an approximate 27% MSRP discount with the papers in my name. I think the days of double digit discounts on lower price range watches and sports models are going to quickly disappear if they haven't already but discounts on gold watches will still be around because few will be willing to pay the price of a new Mustang or Camero for a watch.

All of you that feel Rolex is now out of reach, will you consider Tudor? Sounds like Rolex knows exactly what they are doing in the US Market.

5 Grand delta for two-tone vs stainless steel. How do they justify that? A SS sub was 5 Grand just a few short years ago.
I will stick with my SD and vintage DeVille, then maybe pick up a pre-owned planet ocean. |

King of Watches
Quote:
In Asia, Rolex is King of Watches. In some countries there, even the taxi and bus-drivers wear a Rolex watch - genuine and not a fake one, mind you. Once the majority of the Chinese in China starts buying Rolex watches, others will be lucky to get one. Come rain, come shine, Rolex price increase is as sure as the sun-rise. It is nothing new and this has been happening, since the good old days. To the many, only Rolex is a watch. |
