I WAS looking for a chrono...
As stated in a previous, I was on the lookout for my next chronogragh to keep my speedie company.
So walked past a Used watches dealer, and this watch just shouted at me. I was very keen on this a few years back, but did not have the funds for it.So, looking at it, its STILL as beautiful as I remembered it.So, with a little negotiation, its SOLD. This is it.My new pride and joy.The IWC BIG PILOT REF 5002.To me, its nicer looking than new 5004.Its a more accurate representation of the original 55mm monsters issued to WW2 pilots. Hope everyone like the pics.Peter. |

Congrats!
Although IWC has changed its watch models to the worse lately (more bling!), THIS one is really nice and "what IWC should be like"! I have also had an IWC (Doppelchronograph, ref. 3713), but unfortunately IWC for some reason chose to discontinue it and make a "Limited Edition" ceramic version of it instead that I don't like at all.
