I'm not a strap-o-holic. still lookin for the right one.
I don't change the straps often. I've been buying the a few straps lately and spending hours at my local AD trying to get the right straps for my 233. but i still think that those straps don't look good with my 233
![]() ![]() ![]() and thinking this one will look good with 233!???: http://www.mariopaci.com/MP/MP_Olterra.html anyone can please post more real pics of those MP straps??? Thanks! |

Okay, the cracked or vintage calf isn't right and the JV doesn't work for you.
Thanh, is it possible you could explain the look you are seeking, or think you might enjoy? Then perhaps we might be better able to suggest alternatives. Personally I love the quality of the OEM straps and don't mind paying for an especially nice one. Usually they are a little to a lot thinner than most aftermarket. ABP has always been a strap source for me, not just for Panerai. Their range is mind boggling from the plain to the exotic. I have a couple of their straps and have been happy with them. it's up there with OEM and so too is the price. Let us help you if we can, we're strap junkies here and that's why you're asking !! Cheers Richard |

Hi Takuya!
Im so sorry I think I forgot to post the pics of my olterra I promised a few weeks ago! But i'm not sure if it will be a good representative since it already has lots of patina on it so it's a lot darker than original..I've been rubbing it with my hands a lot. It's an awesome leather, my favorite strap out of all the 50+ straps I own. The leather is nice and supple and feels very good on the hand. I highly suggest it! Do let me know if you still want pics of it.. |

@Vie: Toshi Grey straps don't work out for most my outfits, and after worn them a few days, i felt uncomfortable on my wrist because they're not my right size.
@Glenn: please post some pics of that MP straps if you have time. Thanks! |

I know what you mean. I've cycled through a bunch of 3rd party straps for my 233 but end up wearing an OEM strap most of the time. Some of the 3rd party straps wear kinda thick near the buckle. The more rustic straps worked better on my 177 than the 233 for some reason.
I like it on the 312 strap (black gator, white stitch) and am trying an OEM tan calf (111 strap), or vintage calf (brown or black) next. |

I also have an issue with the thick aftermarket 24/24 at the buckle. It makes it a lot tougher to fit under a cuff and i feel the bending of the wrist is curtailed. I just ordered a OEM croc and accordian rubber for the 233. Currently its on the OEM rubber that came with the watch and very comfortable.
The thinner OEM straps are a lot more comfortable, esp in a warm climate like Houston. Regards. |

Yes, the olterra is really soft and supple even though it is thick. The Pre-V (the one on the 335 with the PVD buckle) is very tough compared to it.
I guess if you like it new more you can refrain from rubbing it or getting sweat/oil from your hands on it. |

Glenn422 the "new" Olterra you are showing looks quite different to the Olterra from the MP website
are there various versions of the Olterra or is it just the lighting in the picture? http://www.mariopaci.com/MP/MP_Olterra.html |
