Please, find here a video of the pelagos, made by a french forum member (forum montredeplongee).

I am sure that he will allow me to post his excellent work here, on a dedicated forum.

If you were me, with a 16610LV and a 16cm (6.3") wrist, would you trade the LV for the pelagos? (and take the rest of cash for saving)?

While I think the Pelagos is a beauty and great dive watch, I wouldn't trade my sub for one.

Looks very green underwater, might make the LV hard to read.

Surprised how dark it gets at 30m. in a daylight lake dive. Totally different than dives in the Keys at similar depths.

Great video and thanks for posting! I love my Pelagos and choose it over a Sub for many reasons and price was not one... But ymmv! Sorry, the pic is flipped from my phone...

The Pelagos has more modern features in almost every way. Better lume, better legibility, better bracelet & clasp, better depth rating, matte ceramic bezel, light weight in a big package. Functionally it is better than the LV. However the LV is prettier. Ultimately you have to ask what's important to you.

I've been thinking about a dive watch, and the Sub-C and Pelagos are on my short list. I bought a "disposable" Citizen JDM dive watch from Hong Kong last week, so I could see how the size and weight of a dive watch works for me in everyday life. Once I've convinced myself that I really like the bulk and weight, then I can shop seriously for a keeper.

Just FYI, the Pelagos and SubC weight nearly the same. The sub is 40mm steel case while the Pelagos is 42mm titanium.

Awesome watch, but i wouldnt trade ir for the Sub LV, Rolex is still a better watch all-around than Tudor, in my humble opinion. But i will defenitely save some money for the Pelagos. Have them both!

Considering your relatively small sized wrist I would go for the LV as a daily wearer.

In my own case I have both the LV(C) and the Pelagos. The LVC gets by far the most wrist time, as my wrist size is similar to yours. Frankly speaking I find the Pelagos a bit to0 big for my preference, but couldn't help myself as it is such a great watch

For pure function, there is no competition. Pelagos by far.

I think Mike hit the nail on the head from a technical perspective. I would add the stealth perspective too... I live/work in a major city and I always get called out when I wear Rolex, these type of conversations are a waste of time in either direction, IMO. Plus, not many are around in the States, so I'm able to sport a unique piece that draws better conversations, if they happen at all. A lot of folks say buy for yourself and no one notices. I did the first based on Mike's points and I find the latter simply untrue where I live/work. Good luck and there both fine pieces!
