Both great watches but I say Yacht-Master easily. It's dressy enough to substitute the DJ2, but the DJ can't substitute the Yacht-Masters sporty, bold look.
I definitely think it depends on the individuals lifestyle and personalitly. For example, I think the smooth bezeled silver stick dialed DJ2 is an absolutely gorgeous piece, but I wouldn't get one because it is just not "me". My friend however, has it and it fits him perfectly! |

The DJ2 is a great dress watch, with a little sport.
The YM is a great sports watch, with a little dress. For me, after owning a YM I would go for a pre-owned DJ2 with blue roman dial. |

I have DJ1 and YM1, both on steel bracelets with silvery dials.
I like the YM much more. Very understated in spite of it being polished. People just don't realize it is a Rolex and for me that is what I prefer. YM! |
