I really want to enjoy whiskey; they all look so tasty, and in my imagination it tastes like a sweet iced tea. I had a bottle of Glenlivet one time, but unfortunately reality slapped me in the face on my first glass. I poured it down the drain and used the rest of the bottle for cooking

I stick to soda now

I've had many different single malts and different vintages and Glenlivet 15yo is my fav by far.

Oh, they look fine to me. Talisker 18 is probably my reasonably affordable favorite right now thou I do like Glenmorangie Nectar d'or. If you have a Lagavulin you don't need the cigar.

I poured a couple of fingers of Dahlmore last night. Personal opinion: bottles around $50 taste just as good to me as the $100+ single malts. Maybe I'd just rather have twice as many choices when I open the liquor cabinet!

This. I have some great bottles for occasions like my ballechin by edradour, but I'm with you, I much prefer having the variety of 'decent' bottles. Aberfeldy is my latest affordable gem of a find!
