Rolex would have zero problem making the pepsi or coke bezel in ceramic - this isn't the 1980's folks.. Okay, so the blue and black represents day and night...Yay, most people wearing this watch would never actually use this feature. We all know it's about the overall look of the watch, which is why the coke and pepsi have both been so successful.
I do wish Rolex would stop playing it so "safe" and actually do something exciting with their Sub and GMT line-up......like Tudor is doing. The new blue THC is beautiful, modern, but still retains much of its heritage appeal. It seems like all the really cool Rolex features and improvements are saved for those who want to pay $20K for it; and not all of us can afford that. |

Love it. The red and black, for me, is too brash. For me, this one has just enough contrast without being too loud. It's beautiful and different without being in your face. For me, it's perfect.
It would be nice if everyone loved it, but that's alright. I love it, and it's my wrist and my wallet. Rolex will make a Pepsi for everyone else eventually, and then balance will restored :) In the meantime, this one's for me. Cheers Ross |

"Meh" for me as well. Other than the novelty aspect of it (which wears off), there's not a whole lot there for me to be crazy about. I'm not loving the black/blue contrast (either on the bezel or the 24 hr hand against the dial).

Due most like the Pepsi colors or is it mainly appreciating the historical significance of the colors?
Two AD's in different parts of the states have said the Pepsi GMT was a slow seller. When Rolex discontinued this model, only then was their a lot of customer demand. |

I would rather prefer green GMT, like the green Sub. To me, green color is the trademark color for Rolex, with Gold/Blue being exception for the Sub. Rolex green reminds me of upholstery on a casino table, and looks very rich. I don't mind the new batman, but I prefer GMT with green accents (such as the second hour handle). I hate that all green GMT is available in gold only, and not in "base" model, like Sub. Oh, and owning TT Sub, GMT II is the only other sport Rolex I want.

I like it, it's a nice deep blue (unlike the pastel green on the hulk, sorry folks). The blue hand also contrasts nicely. Unfortunately I prefer the black so would never get it.

I'm certainly not blown away, I'd also like the blue to be darker, like a navy blue.
I don't dislike it per se but I certainly won't be getting one |

From the pics I've seen on here I assumed it was the same "blue" from the WG Sub. Can anyone tell me if that's correct?

Wasn't sure at first but it grew on me and love it. I fully expect a 'Pepsi' next year with a brushed bracelet. I have seen it posted that insiders now say they can do the 'Rouge' Cerachrom and have applied for a patent (hopefully that is True)

Love it. It's a nice understated option for the gmt model. The Pepsi will most likely make a return and everyone will be happy. Some may not like the black/blue, but it is functional, stays true to the brand and is easy to coordinate with the wardrobe, as well as an interesting addition.
