Asking for forgiveness in advance if I have been negligent in my searches...

Acquired this as hand-me-down from family and am searching for more info. The bottom of the face states "T SWISS T" so I'm guessing that there are several years on this watch. As best I can see with a magnifying glass, the number between lugs at 6:00 position is 929263, but I can't find that model number on any forum searches. Due to these numbers being so worn, I was unable to get a clear photo.

The case reference number should be between the lugs at 12:00. It's probably a 1601. You found the SN, which dates the watch to 1963-64.

From the information you provided, the number would be the serial number which dates it to around 1964-1965. The model number is at the 12 o'clock position between the lugs.
