Show me a $50 watch with a movement like this PP, and the finishing of this particular PP, that costs $50. Thanks in advance.

The photo distorts comparison as the AP is actually much larger than the PP.

If I already had at least one AP ROO I would pick PP but if I had to pick only one it would be AP for sure.

The PP however is a timeless classic and I would love to own this model one day.

Love the 5711, but not the white dial version. So AP gets my vote.

The Nautilus is nice but the white dial isn't as nice (in my humble opinion, that is) as the blue one, therefore I'll have to go with the AP, this model sure looks pretty classy.

QC, when you get the watch, please buy one for me as well and put that on my bill...

AP ROO. Unlike the other watches in my collection, and I dont care for that bracelet on the PP. I prefer leather on PP's.

Altho the PP is slim, with its squarish dial and wide lugs it does wear quite large on the wrist more like a 42mm than a 40mm and thus it has real presence altho it is understated, actually a great trick to pull off. Ive owned many 44mm watches and always thought the Naut would be too small for me but whenever I wear one it doesn't feel any smaller than my subc or PO 42mm apart from its thinness.

I generally like sport watches and would gravitate towards the AP. This is hard to do as a mental exercise though. One cannot ignore the pure gravitas of a Patek. I can't say I would ever spend that kind of money on one unless I really came into a huge amount of money. But I could see me stretching to get the AP as a goal.

Its like asking which I would want between a new $100,000 Mercedes 4 door sedan or a new $60,000 Corvette. I have no interest in a big sedan and would choose the Corvette because I like sporty cars and performance. BUT if you were giving me one for free maybe I choose the Mercedes, I dunno.

These watches should be about the same price. The 5711 retails for $26,700 with little to no discount. The 44mm ROO SS novelty retails for $33,000 but can be had for about $25k. So if you could afford one you could afford the other.

I'm sticking to AP as my favorite brand for luxury sport watches and Patek as my favorite for luxury dress watches. Royal Oak and Offshore over Nautilus or Aquanaut and the Petek 5960, 5205, 5970, etc over the AP Jules Audemars or Edward Piguet watches. The Millenary is an outlier for me. I really like the looks but dont know if I like it enough to own one.

The 5711 in white is less popular than its blue ilk; it is likely possible to get a nice discount on it...

I say 44SS all day, but that's because that's what I bought, my wife thinks that PPs are for ladies becuase of their size, they seem to feminine to me now, (in my opinion, don't mean to be disrespectful) as much as I love Pateks they are too small for me.

In that wrist shot above the PP looks like a button compared to the AP. both great timepieces but hands down the AP.
