I found this...

... shot from a few weeks ago...
It's nothing special, and I took it hand held just to check the white balance setting.
I was cleaning my hard drive today, and I ran into it, and I kinda liked it.

Chip - great shot. Thanks for sharing. What equipment do you use? I tried taking photos of my watches with a 28-135mm Canon IS USM lens on a Canon Digital Rebel but they just don't turn out that great. What's the secret?

That was actually shot handheld with a Nikon D50, and a 50mm Sigma lens.
No lightbox... just a kitchen counter.

Chip, the second shot is excellent. It looks almost abstract due to the extreme closeup, and the brush detail on the lug is amazing. Nice job. I do love macro photography.
