Black Seal Price Advice
I'm looking to add a PAM292 to my collection. I was given a price of $8495 plus tax (this is in Toronto), by the AD. Just wondering if this is a good price, or should I look elsewhere. I know in the US they're around $7500, but the exchange rate brings it to a similar price.

Humbertown? 8500 plus tax seems high. Are they willing to work with you on the price?

Can't help you with that, I never buy from AD's, since I have Rolex new sub C and they never want to make discount in France got it through a private seller brand new for 10% less, as for my Panerai's 2 are old limited editions, one is regular edition, the 233, but it's the "dot" model which they don't do anymore.
Good luck |

I bought a couple of Panerai from Chateau D'Ivoire in Montreal. They didnt move on the price but did throw in a couple of straps. Its difficult to find an AD in Canada that will discount. I have bought the others in my collection from reputable dealers in New York and FLorida.

that's not unusual (both lack of discount and offer to give a couple of straps to sweeten the deal). |

Well, i went a different direction. Bought a deepsea from Brinkhaus. They gave me a good price right off the bat, and service was excellent. I was very tempted to get a 292, but i've always wanted to get a deep sea too, and the price after tax was the best i've been offered.
Brinkhaus has easily been the best experience i've had from an AD to date. |

I almost bought a Panerai (PAM321) from the only AD in Toronto. The only thing that stopped me was their attitude to even start a conversation about price points. Put it this way, they are not the only source to get a Panerai. I got mine from the trusty seller from this site and the saving was significant. This AD will not have my business going forward.
