Day-Date dial: how hard to buy?

How hard and expensive is it to buy day date dials? I would like to buy a new dial but keep the one I already have.

I looked in the classifieds for this forum but I don't see a lot of selection. Is that an indication that day-date dials are not that easy to obtain?

Depends on the era. New ones are very hard to find

Be prepared to spend retail dollars for new dials, even more for quality
Vintage. This watch is on the move.

If you want a different dial for your DD then wait till service is due have it changed then.As they have to strip watch down to service no extra labour charge pay only for the dial exchange price for your old one.

What model ? . eBay has a fair few. Ensure it's from a watch seller and it's not custom, refinished or any other inventive word for fake.

Grays has some originals

You can not get one here in US from Rolex but can overseas at Rolex AD.
