I think if you don't go with the jumbo route you will always wonder, even with your multiple "lesser" watches. From what I have heard, the jumbo is quite special and having an icon with provenance will beat out the rest no problem. Combine that with the Patek and you will have two fantastic heavy weights.

Quantity does NOT equal quality. And this is coming from a guy who is often conflicted on watches he should trade for others.

I am not the biggest fan of the 5167 (but love the Nautilus) and I would do option one. You can always pick up a sub $5k Rolex or something much cheaper that would make a cool beater watch.

I just went through a similar dilemma on a purchase of a 15400 vs a Rolex, and despite advice to the contrary I went with my heart and got the 15400. ABSOLUTELY the right move. I like Rolex, respect Rolex, love how they hold value......but there are just too many GMT's and Subs out there. If you want a watch you would be happy with keep the BLNR. If you want a watch you will LOVE get the jumbo !

The Jumbo is a special piece. I think you will be happy with option1. As others have stated, those other pieces are easier to pick up later. Good luck!
