iphone case recommendation

What do you guys use to cover-up your iphones? I think I've got the perfect case.

So wife and I got new iphones. Awesome machines. Can't wait until the 2.0 software update! Now I'm clumsy. At work I tend to knock stuff around. My old Nextel got beaten up pretty bad.

IPhones are beautiful. I don't want it scuffed up bad. So at the Apple store I got Iskin Revos for our phones. Ok, but not great. Get's linty and hard to use due to it's visor, and I lost the sync cover the first week of use.

I did research and the Otterbox Defender seems to be the best around. Ordered it. Boy what a tank! the plastic/rubber housing's great and the holster's perfect, nice fit with perfect resistance. The unholstering sound's pretty neat, just like a 1911 being pulled out a kydex holster--snick. This is the best case so far. Pictures below. Notice the other plastic product?

Cool case. Ya know, I considered leather cases too especially the ones that cover the screen and secured by a magnet.

Hi Bryan,

The version 2.0 software update is the next major iPhone update. It will be released in June. What's making people go ape over the next update is the just released iPhone Software Developers Kit (SDK). This will allow 3rd party companies to develop iPhone software. Apple will distribute sanctioned software via a new Apps button on the iphone (or computer).

Also, Apple will include business/Enterprise features features such as "push" email to the iPhone.

The update is free for iphones but itouch ouners have to pay a fee.

More info can be found about the SDK at Apple.com

Your workplace can now keep you on a tight leash. Right now, you have to tap on your email to receive your daily emails. Push allow businesses to instantly send employees email. The message will get to the employees phones immediately, no need for the employee to tap on the email and wait for messages.

RIM users users like to rip on the iphone for not being business friendly. Soon, the iphone will ba able to compete with the Blackberrys.

thanks for the reply
i drive a tow truck,so nobody is gonna be looking for me like that.i'm exactly the consumer that the iphone was marketed for,not the hardcore business professional that needs those kind of features.this thing keeps me occupied when i'm sitting on the side of the road waiting for someone to crash or breakdown.

If you like games, then you're in store for a lot of entertainment. Game developers such as EA are working to bring games to the iPhone. From what I hear the technology in the iPhone will allow developers to make games that can compete with Sony handheld gaming machine, the PSP!

Otterbox cases are awesome! I bought the waterproof one for my Ipod mini and it could be used while snorkeling!! Unfortunately, my mini was stolen and now I have no use for the case.

Anyone need an otterbox for an ipod mini??
