Two weeks & thirteen seconds

Almost two weeks old now and the GMT is running thirteen seconds fast. Is that about average?

That's awesome.
One second a day fast out of a total of 86,400 seconds a day is very good.
At night, try leaving you watch CROWN DOWN. This might slow it slightly.

That is 99.998842593 % accuracy my friend.

John is right, CJ. Crown DOWN will slow it down in most cases.

That crown down thing never worked for me, my new Sub is 5 sec.s fast a week, the funny thing is, no matter if I wear it, don't wear it, talk nice to it, give it my meanest look, it's 5 sec fast. It clearly does not know who's boss. Maybe It's pissed I took it to look at a GMT II. My watch has issues.....

I've been leaving it dial down at night. Does that make a difference from crown down?

It all depends on what side of the bed you sleep. If you sleep on the Captains side [Port side], you can leave the watch on edge with the crown uppermost and it will be the right way round for you if you wake up in the night and want to know what time it is.

BTW - If you burn the lumen with your official rechargeable Maglite for 60secs, it will last all night!

CJ that gain is very very good for a mechanical watch

Okay, CJ...in all seriousness with most Rollies there's a simple rule of thumb:

Crown UP to gain time.
Crown DOWN to lose.

Cheers - JJ

Glad to see you're back Steve I tried the flashlight thing on my Omega. They were bright alright, but they seemed to have shot their load after a couple of times. They seemed a little dull after that.
