My Dad booked his first Rolex!

My dad is one of those guys who doesnt wear a nice watch everyday, he will wear a beater and wear something nice on the weekends/occassions. He has Breitling,Chopard,Charriol,Cartier,Piaget, and a mk2 Speedmaster he hasnt worn in ages. And might I add he is not a WIS he just buys what he likes on impulse.

Well since I got my Daytona about 15 months ago, I guess it grew on him! He asked me to get a price from a friend in the business and he put a deposit down today on a YG Daytona with white dial

I cant wait to try that baby on!! I will update with pics hopefully by the weekend.

You oughta nudge him in the direction of Meteorite dial WG DT!

Maybe your dad could become a member here, too? That would be cool!

Your Dad, seems like he is a WIS, whether he realizes it or not! Good for him.

I love my SS Daytona and will never get rid of it. Daytona is the only Rolex that I like except a blue dial sub. I would love to see Rolex make the SS with a blue dial or maybe another striking color...(RED)? But I know Rolex is stodgy and will not do so. WG with meteorite is my next goal. AND I would like to see a 43mm case. Now you all can that I am a DIS........Daytona Idiot Savant.

HEHE thanks guys... I hope I can borrow it on ocassion, but I know for sure this one is going to only come out a few times a year (what a shame I wear my TT Daytona nearly every day until I settle down on a daily SS watch)

Nothing like getting the lift up to the penthouse - what a fantastic first entry into the Rolex arena

I'm sure he (and you!) will be delighted with his new puchase when it arrives
